At Francis Court we constructed a purpose-built extension to house a new lift core for the care home, covering the full three storeys of the building. This project was challenging as we had to operate within an occupied live care home. Our works' meant we had to break into each of the three storeys which included the Dementia Wing and residents’ bedrooms. Careful planning of noisy and disruptive works was needed to ensure the comfort of the residents as much as possible. Completing these works meant the care home could now transport heavier items such as beds and equipment that they struggled with in the existing lifts.
